These systems have been designed and manufactured with both its shakers and matching amplifiers in tandem.

Shaker Sizing (F=MA)

The 606F-lb pk system is one of the largest of the current family of Vibration Research systems. The large diameter armature adapts to many test requirements with a minimal amount of fixturing. High lateral and axial stiffness decrease problems associated with off-center loads. Unsupported horizontal operation is possible on many loads. The cooling blower is direct coupled to the shaker to give the maximum performance. An optional slip table is available for horizontal testing. Optional load supports allow testing loads with a high center of gravity. The suspension stiffness is adjustable. Electronic load compensation allows heavier loads.

VR5800
The 500F-lb pk system uses a larger shaker with a large 6-inch diameter armature table, making it easy to adapt to almost any test requirement with a minimum of fixturing. The high lateral stiffness carbon composite armature suspension reduces problems associated with off-center loads and allows unsupported horizontal operation with many loads. The system is equipped with a degauss coil to ensure a low stray magnetic field for sensitive applications. The modular, air-cooled amplifier is direct coupled to the shaker to give the maximum performance at low and high frequencies. Digital meters display the system operating levels, and complete shaker and external interlocks help protect the system from accidental abuse. Oil film slip table base systems are available for larger and heavier loads or loads with high centers of gravity.

VR5800-BSR
The 250F-lb system uses a larger shaker with the blower removed in a lower force output system. The system offers the benefit of a larger shaker at a reduced price to give maximum performance at low and high frequencies. The added DC power supply generates a clean, quiet field and allows for tests to be run at incredibly low amplitude and sound levels. Dual meters display the system operating levels, and complete shaker and user interlocks help protect the system from accidental abuse. Oil film slip table base systems are available for larger and heavier loads or loads with high centers of gravity.

VR5600
The 110F-lb pk system is our strongest compact linear amplifier shaker system. The 3-inch diameter armature table is suitable for larger loads that require high vibration levels. The shaker’s full 1-inch armature stroke capability is ideal for many modal applications and low/high-frequency general applications. The air-cooled linear amplifier is direct coupled to the shaker for maximum performance at low and high frequencies. VR4044
The 44F-lb pk system is a permanent magnet shaker that features a direct coupled cooling blower to maximize the force available in a small package. The larger armature supports general vibration testing of components and subassemblies. High lateral and axial stiffness reduce problems associated with off-center loads. Unsupported horizontal operation is possible on many loads. A rare-earth magnet reduces the overall shaker weight for portable applications. The robust design of this shaker ensures a long service life, important when running extended-duration testing.

VR4022
The 22F-lb system is a permanent magnet shaker that is used for both modal and general-purpose testing. The compact size and lightweight make it a very portable package. This size is ideal for desktop applications. This lightweight armature shaker runs higher test levels without forced air-cooling. It is perfectly suited for testing small transducers and electrical and mechanical assemblies. High lateral and axial stiffness reduce problems caused by off-center loads. Unsupported horizontal operation is possible on many loads. The frequency limit of 7,000Hz satisfies high-frequency test requirements.

VR5200HF
The 13F-lb pk system is a rugged, full-featured, and small permanent magnet shaker. It is ideally suited for the production screening of small components, engineering design verification/evaluation, or for larger transducer calibration systems. The shaker features a 2.125-inch diameter table with multiple attachment points and an extraordinary 0.5-inch stroke. It has a linearly compliant armature suspension that is also suitable for modal testing with a current source amplifier. The High-Frequency version, with its slightly heavier armature, has an extended full force frequency range of up to 14KHz with operation to 20KHz at 7lbf pk sine and a dual thread center mounting hole with #10-32 threads for mounting accelerometers and other vibration transducers. Available in two different impedance ranges, the VR5200-HF series is easily matched to most amplifiers yielding the maximum system performance.
