TruDAC

TruDAC is a digital drive interface that replaces the traditional analog drive connections by breaking the ground path between your controller and amplifier. TruDAC simplifies, isolates, and future-proofs your vibration system. Convert from digital to analog in order to reduce noise, support longer cable runs, and detect connection issues.

CUT THE NOISE. STAY IN CONTROL

Built for modern test labs, TruDAC delivers:

  • Digital input over mini-XLR (AES/EBU standard)
  • Up to 216kHz sample rate with 32-bit resolution
  • ±10V differential analog outputs with <-100dB THD+N
  • Balanced differential signaling over twisted pair cabling
  • Transformer-coupled isolation to block low-frequency interference
  • Detection of disconnected/broken cables before start of test

Direct Control

In the future, TruDAC enables direct digital amplifier control, instead of A/D conversions.

Legacy amplifier upgrade

TruDAC includes two ±10V analog outputs (DRIVE and AUX) that are compatible with most vibration amplifiers. While the drive path is digital up to the TruDAC, it outputs analog for backward compatibility.

Why it matters

Most systems convert signals like this:

Digital → Analog (Controller) → Analog → Digital (Amplifier)

Every conversion risks distortion and noise. TruDAC keeps the signal cleaner — and it’s the first step toward a fully digital amplifier ecosystem.

TruDAC breaks the physical ground connection between the controller and amplifier. It uses transformer-coupled digital input and fully isolated analog outputs to eliminate ground loop-induced noise and signal degradation.

THE FUTURE PATH TO POWER

The world has gone digital – from photography to finance. Yet many vibration labs are still relying on analog drive paths that convert digital signals to analog, only to re-digitize them again inside the amplifier.
TruDAC is the bridge to a better approach. It provides a clean, isolated, digital drive signal now, and paves the way for fully digital amplifier integration tomorrow.
Eliminate unnecessary conversions – and the dysfunctional noise.

digital amplifier tech ready

While today’s setup still converts to analog at the amplifier input, TruDAC is built for the future. When amplifier manufacturers support digital input directly, the entire signal path will remain digital — eliminating unnecessary conversions.

Who should use TruDAC

Anyone performing vibration testing who wants:

  • Cleaner, more reliable drive signals
  • Lower noise floors
  • Ground loop elimination
  • A future-forward test setup ready for digital amp integration
