Speaker
Marc Brown | Application Engineer & UK Country Manager for VR
HELP! I’VE RUN OUT OF DISPLACEMENT
This webinar is for anyone running vibration or shock tests on shaker systems, particularly those who have had trouble with shaker displacement limits or want to know the lowest frequency to which they need to test their product.
We will cover:
-
- Maximum displacement of test specifications (sine, random, shock, and field data replication)
- What limits shaker capabilities? (including shaker isolation systems)
- Understanding a product’s lowest natural frequency and a shaker system’s rigid body modes and natural frequencies.
- What do test standards say about the lowest frequency?
- Can I justify removing the lowest frequencies from the test specification?
- Should I be testing to a lower frequency?
- Shock testing with shakers
- Effects of pre/post -pulse compensation effects on the frequency content of a shock wave
- When not to carry out shock on a shaker

REGISTRATION LINK
After you complete the webinar registration, watch for the confirmation email from GoTo Webinar (check your spam folder, if necessary). This email will contain a web link and instructions for connecting. To ensure you receive all the necessary webinar communications, please add the following email address to your safe senders list: customercare@gotowebinar.com.
Please email vrsales@vibrationresearch.com with content questions about the webinar.
Following the webinar, we will email a link to the recording to all registrants, even if you did not attend live. This email will be sent directly from Vibration Research.
HOW TO JOIN
We use GoTo Webinar, a third-party app, for webinars. GoTo Webinar requires Chrome or Firefox. You will need a device with a web connection; VoIP will also be available.
To avoid connection issues, we recommend checking system requirements in advance. When you join the webinar, GoTo Webinar will automatically detect the best join method for your device. DEMO SOFTWARE
We recommend downloading a free demo version of VibrationVIEW or ObserVIEW to follow along during the webinar.
Vibration testing is a unique industry. A collective resource for vibration test engineers is valuable whether examining basic theory or advanced techniques. VR is committed to providing quality content that engineers can use in all stages of product development.
