Add a Notch to the Drive Signal Based on a Response Channel

Random

In the Random test mode, you can assign limit curves individually to each input channel. The limit can be a dB level relative to the demand profile or you can enter up to 1024 frequency and amplitude breakpoints for each channel.

If the upper limit is a notching limit, then the drive signal will be reduced over any frequency range that the input is at or above the limit curve. Notching can protect a product by monitoring its acceleration levels and limiting the drive signal at large resonances.

This Quick Tip video walks through the steps of adding a notch to the drive signal based on a response channel and reviews the abort possibilities.
